Latterly there are 19th century alterations but none detracts from the overall beauty. Inside the church the eye is immediately drawn to the magnificent stained glass through which the sun filters its rays onto the worn stone floors. There is a fine stone font with cover, gleaming woodwork, and several memorials. In the lawned churchyard visitors can see graves belonging to former residents of Lower Swell.
